Roger Burkhardt Joins Quantum Leap Innovations' Board of Directors

Quantum Leap Innovations is extremely pleased to announce the addition of Roger Burkhardt to our Board of Directors. “I'm delighted to join the board at Quantum Leap Innovations to help them bring their breakthrough Pattern Based Analytics technology to market,” said Burkhardt, “ This is the first technology I've seen that allows business people (not just quants) to analyze complex real world data to gain insights into all the variables that drive their business - and then predict how they can change their business. “

Mr. Burkhardt was most recently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Ingres Corporation, a provider of business open source software and solutions. Burkhardt joined Ingres Corporation as President and Chief Operating Officer in July 2006 where he assumed immediate responsibility for worldwide sales and marketing as well as the global development and engineering organization, and also served on the company’s board of directors. He currently serves on the board of Market Axess, the NASDAQ listed leader in the electronic trading of fixed income securities.

Before joining Ingres, Burkhardt was Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President at NYSE for 6 years where he managed a global team of 2000 personnel. Less than a year after joining the NYSE in 2000, Burkhardt's team built and deployed the Exchange's first automatic execution service. Subsequently, he helped design and successfully launch the hybrid market model which integrates elements of both the traditional auction market and automated trading.

Prior to NYSE Burkhardt was president of listed equities for OptiMark Technologies, a developer of electronic trading technology. He had earlier served 14 years with IBM, joining as a UK-based systems engineer and rising to director of capital markets, IBM banking, finance and securities. Mr. Burkhardt holds bachelors and masters degrees in physics from Oxford University and an M.B.A. in finance from New York University.
