New Job Site Has Dental Professionals Saying “Aaah”
Managing a dental practice isn’t easy and it also isn’t just about dentistry. Successful practices are all about keeping people happy, while that includes patients; it also involves a lot of other people including: vendors, referring doctors, and a group of staff that can make or break the practice. With so much to think about, most dentists would give their eye teeth for a solution that could streamline their “people processes.”
Feridoon Amini is no stranger to the complexities of maintaining successful relationships with patients, vendors, and other doctors. While he is not a doctor, his wife is. As they developed a practice together, they were in awe of how much work went into maintaining relationships and how those relationships could dramatically affect the practice.
Amini decided to put his 20 years of IT architecture and design experience for major corporations to work for dental professionals across the nation. He created DentalSpots.com, a unique new site designed to take many of the headaches out of practice management.
“There are so many inefficiencies and challenges when establishing a practice,” said Amini. “Finding the right person for a job can be a difficult task. Not only do their skills need to match up, but their personality also has to mesh with the team. Since staffing is a major issue for every practice, we decided to examine that first.”
While DentalSpots plans to have a hand in almost every facet of practice relationship management, currently the site is all about jobs. Dentists can post job openings for free and job seekers can upload their profile and resume, connecting with the right position for them.
In the long term, DentalSpots will provide functionality for key aspects of every practice. “PRM” is a patient relationship management tool that will help doctors attract and retain patients. “Marketplace” will help dentists deal with vendors and find the best deals with service providers including bookkeeping, cleaning, and dental suppliers.
“Communities” will connect dentists with the doctors who they refer patients to for various procedures. It will serve as an online community where doctors can securely come up with a treatment plan and share information.
Although DentalSpots only recently debuted at the Southwest Dental Conference in January, the site already has hundreds of dental professionals and job seekers registered. Users span from Dallas to New York, Chicago, and California.
“Technology is going to be a major player in the success of DentalSpots,” says Amini. “The company is developing their Twitter and Facebook presence, and soon applicants will be able to apply to positions through Facebook.”
When applicant profiles match a new job posting, they’re notified immediately and have a chance to apply on the spot. Hiring dentists will also have the opportunity to rate former employee’s strengths so that future dentists have a better idea of who they are hiring.
“Because we understand how to grow a practice from the ground up, we’re confident that DentalSpots will grow in the same way,” said Amini. “We know we can help dentists manage their practice better so they can focus on what they really set out to do: help people.”
Feridoon Amini may not be a dentist, but he understands the challenges they face when managing a practice. That is why he and his wife, who is a dentist, founded DentalSpots.com, a practice management hub designed to take the toothache out of practice management.
DentalSpots is designed to help dental professionals manage every relationship that affects the health of their practice. That includes finding and keeping the best staff, hiring the right temporary employees, attracting new patients and keeping them smiling, and developing comprehensive treatment plans with referral doctors. DentalSpots is also launching Marketplace, a product to help dentists land the best deals with vendors.
Blending the best of technology, social media, and online job hunting, DentalSpots is a comprehensive practice management solution that keeps dental professionals smiling.
