SFO Airport Shuttle Debate Rages On

07-13-2011 07:13 AM CET | Fashion, Lifestyle, Trends

Press release from: ShuttleFare.com

There is currently an interesting debate going on with airport shuttle operators serving San Francisco International Airport. This is something that has been going on for a while but has now reached new levels of intensity. The issue is that smaller shuttle companies - of which there are around 10 serving SFO - feel as though they are being neglected by the airport in favor of the major shuttle provider.

Ivybridge, Devon, July 12, 2011 -- The claim of the smaller SFO airport shuttle companies is this: that the airport makes it easier for the largest company to get access to the terminals and that while its shuttles can park for as long as they like at any terminal, the same is not the case for other shuttle providers. This means that smaller airport shuttle companies serving San Francisco Airport allegedly have to pay higher fees to the airport and can only stop at the curb for a set amount of time.

A spokesman for San Francisco International Airport, however, has said that there is no preferential treatment and that they do their best to treat all SFO airport shuttle providers equally. As this debate has been raging for more than a decade already, though, it seems as though it is likely to go on for some time.

The good news for passengers is that there is a large range of airport shuttle companies serving SFO, so no matter what debates are going on behind the scenes, they should always be able to find the service they are looking for when getting dropped off at or picked up from the airport.
