Peek-a-boo Comment on Increase of Mandarin-speaking Nannies
London, United Kingdom (28 June, 2011) – Peek-a-boo, a leading au-pair and nanny agency in London, has seen an increase in demand in recent years for Mandarin-speaking nannies.Peek-a-boo has attributed this increase in demand to the struggling UK economy, and the rise in the number of UK nationals moving to Hong Kong, China, for more financial stability. Since China joined the word trade, it has seen much economic success, and this has made Mandarin one of the most important languages for the next generation to learn in order to have an edge in the international business market.
Peek-a-boo has placed fifteen Mandarin-speaking tutors and nannies in London and Hong Kong for high-powered business families who are keen to help their children be prepared to succeed in the business world from 2035 onwards.
“Before 2007 it was unheard of, but now I'm taking requests for Mandarin-speaking nannies every week,” commented Sara Rahmini, Founder and Director of Peek-a-boo. "Many families are now viewing hiring a Mandarin-speaking nanny as a real investment, but a shortage of qualified Chinese nannies is in danger of stalling this burgeoning market.
“We have started an exchange programme in response to this issue, enabling Chinese students to study in London and work as live-in nanny-tutors. We have also now launched a virtual office in Hong Kong due to the high demand of Mandarin nannies in a bid to offer our clients access to this invaluable language whilst receiving unsurpassable childcare.”
