JAOtech strengthens range of healthcare Smart Terminal support products
The JAOtech Arcos 9100 bedside cabinet arm provides an alternative to ceiling or wall mounting
Redhill, UK, 5 July 2011 – JAOtech has extended its range of accessories for its market-leading range of medical all-in-one Smart Terminals for patient bedsides with the launch of two cabinet mounting arms and a new multimedia wall mounted hub. The additions complement the existing medically certified ceiling and wall mounting arms.
The new JAOtech Arcos 9100 bedside cabinet arm provides an alternative to ceiling or wall mounting for buildings where these options may not be feasible. The arms bolt securely to most bedside cabinets, and share the outstanding design features of the established wall and ceiling mounting Arcos arms. These include advanced cable management techniques ensuring that cables are safely and neatly contained within the arm. A gas spring and a hinge ensure ample vertical and horizontal movement, allowing the screen to be easily and quickly adjusted for comfortable viewing. For longer reach, JAOtech has introduced an arm extension to provide a longer double-hinged arm.
Also new from JAOtech is the Arcos 8250 multimedia wallbox. This unit increases the connectivity options by allowing patients to connect their own PC notebooks or tablets using the Ethernet connection provided. It also allows hospital hardware such as a hand held barcode scanner to be connected, as well as game consoles. The unit comes with two USB 2.0 ports and three Ethernet ports as standard as well as a multi-card reader. A TV tuner card is built-in giving TV access through the aerial plug.
The new accessories complement the established range of JAOtech Arcos mounting arms for wall and ceiling mounting. All JAOtech products are manufactured in wipe-down antibacterial plastics and have been designed specifically for the healthcare environment.
