SGS holds WRAP seminar at International Hosiery Purchasing Expo in Shanghai

SGS co-hosted a Worldwide Responsible Accreditation Production (WRAP) on Social Compliance at the 6th China (Shanghai) International Hosiery Purchasing Expo on March 1, 2011. Hundreds of representatives from domestic and overseas hosiery companies attended the seminar.

The China International Hosiery Purchasing Expo is the only purchasing expo specifically for hosiery in the world. For the only seminar at this important assembly, the SGS WRAP seminar invited as keynote speakers President and CEO of the Hosiery Association (US) Ms. Sally F. Kay, Chairman of CKIA Hosiery and Socks Division Mr. Martin Sun and Senior Vice President of Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production Mr. Francis Yuk. The seminar was divided into sessions on global social responsibility (http://www.socialresponsibility.sgs.com) trends, buyers’ concerns and ethical audits from different parts of the world, social audit trends in China, the experience and benefits of successfully implementing WRAP, as well as the WRAP application process, intended to assist companies meet the new challenges and take full advantage of opportunities on the road to social compliance.
