SGS at AAFA 2011 International Product Safety and Sustainability Conference

SGS participated in the American Apparel & Footwear Association’s 2011 International Product Safety and Sustainability Conference on April 29, 2011 at HJ International Hotel, Dongguan, China.

On April 29, 2011, SGS participated in the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) 2011 International Product Safety and Sustainability Conference (http://www.apparelandfootwear.org/Events/event.asp?EVENT_ID=439) at HJ International Hotel, Dongguan, China.

The conference brings together industry leaders to educate attendees on the numerous regulatory standards, restricted substances lists, chemical management programs and sustainability issues facing the industry today.

Dr. Karen Kyllo, Deputy Vice President of SGS Global Softlines, was invited to give a speech on the topic of Understanding Testing – When to Test, How to Test and What to Test. She helped give attendees an overview of what constitutes a reasonable test plan and the thinking behind a chemical management program.
