Matthias Pinkert's LED RIMA Desk Lamp Continues its Success Story

After winning the Red Dot Design Award in 2010, dreipuls GmbH and designer Matthias Pinkert have been nominated for the German Design Award 2012. Once again, this nomination acknowledges Pinkert's outstanding creative work and represents another key step towards achieving a reputation as an innovative lighting designer in the vein of Ingo Maurer, Axel Meise and Tobias Grau.
There is still a long way to go for the young German entrepreneur from Dresden to gaining a worldwide reputation. Nevertheless, these nominations show that LED lamps and lighting systems designed by Pinkert are on the right track. By focusing on intuitive light control and energy-saving LED technology, dreipuls creates products with elegant slender shapes and ingenious functionality for a completely personal illumination experience. Computer-controlled LEDs make it possible to choose various lighting areas using just one lighting system.
“Since the founding of dreipuls in March 2011, we've been working hard to ensure the RIMA desk lamp is ready for series production,” says creative director Pinkert. “We’ve found highly experienced development partners, so product launch is imminent” And Pinkert adds: “dreipuls will soon be accepting advanced orders for the first limited edition of the RIMA desk lamp.”
