Industry Veteran, Eileen Maus, Joins Cervilenz Inc. Board of Directors

CLEVELAND, OH – June 21, 2011

Cervilenz Inc. announced today the addition of a new member to its Board of Directors. Eileen Maus brings 20 years of experience in the life sciences industry as a senior sales and marketing executive. Ms. Maus joins Tim Peterson and George Dunbar of Arboretum Ventures, Koleman Karleski of Chrysalis Ventures, Dr. Michael Ross, and Dean Koch on the Board of Directors.
Cervilenz Inc. recently introduced its innovative medical device to the obstetrics marketplace with great success. CerviLenz® measures cervical length to help obstetricians and midwives identify and manage pregnant women at high risk for preterm birth. Preterm birth is the leading cause of infant morbidity and mortality, affecting 12% of pregnancies in the United States.

“As we take the next steps to expand the market launch of CerviLenz, Eileen’s expertise in the commercialization of women’s health products will be especially valuable,” said George Dunbar, Executive Chairman of the Board. “Eileen’s background in reimbursement strategy and advocacy couldn’t come at a better time. Ms. Maus is currently Chief Commercial Officer of Constitutional Medical Investors, a portfolio company of Warburg Pincus. In addition to participating in the diligence of diagnostic companies for potential acquisition, she is developing a revolutionary laboratory technology. Ms. Maus was also Vice President, Commercial Operations, Surgical Division at Cytyc Corporation – a leader in biotech and women’s healthcare companies. Ms. Maus was a key contributor to management of company growth from $8 million to over $700 million during her ten plus career with Cytyc. Her leadership roles ranged from market research to strategic planning and reimbursement. Also at Cytyc, Ms. Maus built and managed sales forces for 5 new product launches, including the ThinPrep® Pap Test.
