Adaco iPad and Touchscreen Application Extends Procurement, Inventory and Recipe Management Platform

The announcement was made at the HITEC 2011 conference that opened here today at the Austin Convention Center. The app will be available from Adaco and the Apple App Store.

“While this migration will eventually include every function provided by Adaco .NET™, it currently showcases our recipe management capability,” said Nikhil Natu, Adaco’s Product Strategy Manager. “You can hand this app to a sous chef and they can view step-by-step instructional videos, presentation details, proportion charts and nutritional information—everything they need to know.” Nikhil added that Adaco’s recipe management module supports brand standard as well as local recipes—and like the rest of Adaco .NET, the new iPad application also supports multiple languages.

Walbridge said among the ways properties might leverage the new app is as an exciting resource for chef training, with the ability watch videos, play with yields and explore possibilities. It provides outlets the ability to print a recipe card for customers showing the precise ingredients and a presentation photo. It also provides a lightweight, mobile device that will increase engagement with customers planning banquets and catered events.
