“Donate blood, save lives” Creta Maris organized Blood Donation Day for 27th consecutive year!
In the context of Creta Maris Beach Resort’s Social Responsibility Program, on Wednesday, June 26th, 2019, the annual Blood Donation Day was organized for 27th consecutive year.With strong will to offer and a big smile, many employees and members of resort’s management team have expressed their interest to participate in Blood Donation Day. Forty (40) of them received the final approval of the responsible physician and participated in the annual blood donation that was held in the resort’s premises and under the auspices of Venizelio Pananeio - General Hospital of Heraklion.
It is worth mentioning that the Blood Donation Day was introduced for the first time by the management of Creta Maris Beach Resort in 1992, with the aim to encourage the local community and as many employees as possible, to become volunteer blood donors and to offer a gift of life to those in need. The great response of the staff resulted in the annual establishment of the blood donation program and the creation of a Blood Bank, in Venizelio Hospital of Heraklion that serves dozens of surgeries and serious incidents.
