Rise Announces the Annual Rise Marketing STEM Scholarship
The Rise STEM Scholarship helps young people who want to realize their dreams of entering the competitive field of online marketing. While there are more opportunities than ever for good-paying jobs in the industry as businesses scale their online-marketing operations, the competition for such jobs is also fierce. What gives students who want to enter this industry an advantage is a strong education in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs.
Data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reveals that people working in STEM jobs enjoy higher wages than the national average: The national average wage for STEM jobs was $87,570, but the national average wage for non-STEM jobs was just $45,700.
According to Rise Founder, Kahl Orr:
“There's never been a better time to pursue a STEM career, and we’re excited to help young people achieve their goals in these fields of study.”
Rise is awarding one $1,000 scholarship toward the winning student’s degree, along with two book scholarships worth $250 each to two runners-up.
Here are the qualifications for students looking to apply:
-Must be either an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited university or college
-Must major in a STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) subject
-Submit his or her application before August 1, 2019
The application process is now open, and students can apply here: https://rise.co/scholarship. The winners will be announced on August 15, 2019.
