Boston Industrial Solutions Introduces ST inks for pad printing on soft touch materials

Woburn, Massachusetts - Ink manufacturing company, Boston Industrial Solutions, Inc. introduces the Natron™ ST series a one- or two-part ink-line for pad printing or screen printing onto rubber, nylon, synthetics and most soft touch substrates.

The Natron™ ST Series ink is a revolutionary screen printing and pad printing ink because it is able to adhere onto most soft touch substrates, synthetics, and textiles. What is soft touch? Soft touch is a coating that is applied onto plastics and rubber substrates to give them a rubbery, smooth, soft feel touch. The soft touch coating makes it hard for inks to adhere onto soft touch coated products. This is a challenge to many printers and decorators worldwide. To solve this challenge, Boston Industrial Solutions, Inc. formulated the ST series pad printing inks.

This new pad printing and screen-printing ink for soft touch, synthetics, and textiles features fast drying time, high opacity, and great flexibility. Cured prints are also able to resist rubbing, machine wash and scratch tests. The Natron™ ST series is also easy to work with just like the SE silicone ink line and our other pad printing inks and supplies.

The ST Series ink line comes in 20 high opacity standard colors and is packaged in 1kg containers. Custom colors are also available within eight business hours upon request.

Generally, the ST series inks will air dry at 68°F in 20-30 seconds and will achieve full cure within 18 - 48 hours. With catalyst added, full crosslink is achieved in 24 – 36 hours. Accelerated drying can be achieved by introducing heat at 150 - 225°F for approximately 60 seconds to two minutes depending on the substrate. (Safety caution! Wait for the heated product to cool down before touching).
