i1connect news: Imperato on Hillary, Obama, and Giuliani

Detroit, MI - While Daniel Imperato was busy at the Libertarian State Executive Committee Meeting, i1connect had the opportunity to catch up with the 2008 Presidential Candidate to discuss fellow candidates Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Rudolph Giuliani.

Recently, in front in Grand Jury, former New York Mayor, Rudolph Giuliani testified that it was a "mistake" to recommend his former Police Chief Bernard Kerik to the post of Secretary of Homeland Security.

Kerik, who parlayed his 9/11 fame along with Giuliani into millions through the Giuliani Partners, is now sure to receive federal felony charges from tax evasion, to filing false information with the government. In addition, it has come out that Bernard Kerik has open mob ties.

"It is nice that Giuliani admits that he made a mistake with Bernard Kerik, but what did he do about it. He had open knowledge of Mr. Keriks alleged illegal activities, he was mayor between 1994 and 2002, and did nothing," stated Imperato.

Imperato also pointed to the fact that Giuliani also did virtually nothing after the first World Trade Center attack in 1994.

"Giuliani has profited off of the poor people that lost their lives during the World Trade Center attack of 2001. He's a hero now. But when the terrorists attacked New York the first time in 1994, where was Rudolph Giuliani? It took a second World Trade Center attack for him to wake up. I hope that he wouldn't run our country like that. While Giuliani was mayor and Bill Clinton was President, they swept the first WTC attack under the carpet and noting was done to protect our country from allowing more terrorists into New York City to study the World Trade Center Towers and eventually kill over 3000 innocent Americans," stated Imperato.

In response to Kerik's open mob ties, Giuliani pointed to his history as New York mayor of virtually eliminating the mafia and organized crime from New York City.

"Giuliani taking credit for wiping out organized crime may have been a feather in his cap. Now that he's running for president, I hope that doesn't turn around on him to bite him back. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones," stated Imperato.

In a recent campaign stop in Orlando, Florida Hillary Clinton addressed a roundtable discussion on subprime mortgages.

Clinton proposed that current loan holders should receive leniency in their payments and that new loans have stricter regulations.

"I was recently informed that Hillary Clinton spoke on the sub prime market. First of all, we should not be lenient for the people who are late on their payments because it creates more debt, more late fees, and a back-loaded system that only costs the consumer more."

Imperato also pointed to Hillary Clinton's actions on subprime mortgages.

"Where were Hillary Clinton and Congress several years ago when subprime lending reached all-time highs? There should have been stricter regulations from the beginning of the origination of these loans. As a licensed mortgage broker and real estate agent, our country is in a cycle of overextended mortgages that were given out freely with no security and with no ability for the consumer to pay it back."

However, Imperato, a man of facts and solution, had a solution to offer to the situation.

"The only way that we can stop this problem from spiraling is to immediately address the banking situation. There must be a regulation that makes the banks immediately convert all floating interest rate loans into fixed loan based upon a fair mortgage rate. The banks are out of control, charging fees and taking food off the table as I spoke of in my release on the Check 21 system. In my personal point of view, it is a criminal activity to go above the going rate not only on check returns but interest on credit cards, and other loans. It's time we protect the people."

In a Council Bluffs, Iowa Campaign stop, Barack Obama told 2,000 supporters that progress on domestic issues such as healthcare, immigration, and education could not be made until the Iraq war has ended

"As for Barack Obama," stated Imperato, "it proves that he doesn't have the ability to multitask. He didn't feel that we could straighten out healthcare, immigration, foreign debt, social security, and our $9 trillion deficit because he felt that Iraq had to be solved first. Just think if Iraq never ends then America will die because he admitted it himself that he can't accomplish anything domestically until Iraq comes to an end. This shows his inability to be a leader of a country on local, national, and global basis."

While Imperato respects Obama for openly telling the truth regarding his opinion, he urged Americans to look at what type of leader they need.

"I hope the American people realize that we need a global person with tenacity with the ability to multitask. Some one who has both street smarts and global smarts. In addition, we need a third party in the White House. There needs to be someone who owes no political favors to the special interests and someone to put a wedge between the Democrats and Republicans."
