TBD Enterprises now represents the Henrob Self-Pierce Riveting solution.

Tom Washburn of TBD Enterprises said, “When Dean Homewood, Director of Business Development from Henrob contacted us about working with their company, we were really excited. The Henrob product is the best self-pierce rivet solution on the market. We work with a lot of smaller manufacturers and start-ups that can’t afford hundreds of thousands of dollars for alternative technologies for bonding dissimilar metals and materials, but they also don’t want to use a lot of slow manual labor to drill holes and use bolts or a pop rivet. That’s where Henrob Self-Pierce Riveting (HSPR) really shines.”

About Henrob:

Manufacturers in a wide range of industries are increasing their use of lighter or dissimilar materials. Construction, white goods, air-conditioning systems and many other industries have all moved to aluminum, magnesium, high-strength steels and composites. Traditionally, manufacturing has used welding, bolting and blind-riveting to join these metals. Those processes are high-cost and produce a variable quality making them unsuited to mass-production. More and more manufacturers are turning to HSPR for a stronger, safer joint and for a more-efficient, environmentally friendly, hassle-free process.

Henrob’s technology joins sheets of dissimilar materials, like aluminum to steel, aluminum to magnesium, steel to steel and metals to composites. HSPR is a cold joining process used to fasten two or more sheets of material, by driving a rivet through the top sheets and upsetting the rivet, under the influence of a die, into the lower sheet without piercing it. The result? No holes, no fumes, no sparks, no fuss, a cycle time of two to four seconds, and a joint that’s stronger than spot-welding.

HSPR can be used with adhesives. It can be applied manually or by robot. There is no cooling water needed, and it is quiet. There is a range of tool configurations and types of rivet to suit the widest-possible range of general industry applications.

Contact TBD Enterprises ( http://www.tbdenterprisesllc.com ) today to see how we can provide products and services to your company cost effectively, with high quality products and great customer service.
