Mummert & Company advised main stakeholders in W.E.T. Automotive Systems AG on the sale of their shareholdings by means of a public tender offer
Munich, 06.06.2011 – W.E.T. Automotive Systems AG was taken over by means of a public tender offer from Amerigon, Inc. Northville, Michigan, USA, and its subsidiary Amerigon Europe GmbH, Germany, at a purchase price of EUR 40.00 per share.Mummert & Company, an independent Corporate Finance advisory based in Munich, Germany, exclusively advised the majority shareholders in W.E.T. AG (Indigo Capital IV L.P., London, and ICWET L.P., London) on this divestiture.
The W.E.T.-Group is a global player in the automotive industry and develops, produces and markets heating systems, automotive interior fittings and accessories, which are used in vehicle seats and other automotive and electrical engineering applications. Amerigon designs, develops and markets products based on proprietary thermoelectric device technologies for a wide range of global markets.
The combined companies create a world player for heated seats and seat ventilation devices on the highest level of technology. W.E.T. AG and Amerigon, Inc. have agreed to terminate, upon consummation of the transaction, the patent litigation pending between them in the USA.
