Press release from: Worthen Design

MERICAN FORK, Utah — June 1, 2011 — While many marketing firms along the Wasatch Front are repositioning their offerings to stay relevant in a new economic environment, Worthen Strategic Branding & Design—a full-service branding agency with a heavy emphasis on illustrative design—is turning heads and emerging as an industry frontrunner just months after moving its Arizona office to American Fork.

“Utah has been the perfect place to transplant Worthen Design, since much of the existing competition does not offer the full suite of services necessary to provide sophisticated clients with comprehensive solutions,” said company founder John Worthen, who started the agency in 2009 and boasts more than 20 years of design experience, largely serving national clients. “There are great branding houses in Utah, but few are adept at meeting the design needs and expectations of A-list clients. We are not traditional Utah. We don’t look anything like what has been done here before.”

In 2011, Worthen Design added two employees and had an opportunity to provide illustrative-branding techniques to Brigham Young University. Worthen Design continues to work closely with one of the nation’s most reputable marketing agencies to brand a grocery chain boasting more than 1,700 locations.

“We’re in demand because we create complete brand experiences—everything from corporate identities to packaging to restaurant interiors. This week, we’re working on a 100-foot mural for a baseball stadium. Next week, we’re working with high school administrators to develop a mascot,” Worthen said. “Our work has an illustrative feel that you can’t capture with traditional design techniques. It’s edgy, it’s current and it’s got the ‘I need this product’ appeal that big brands are going crazy over.”
