Enventure Awarded Contract for Assessment of Conflict Minerals
NH, U.S.A. (30 May, 2011) - Enventure Technology Services, a leading engineering services and compliance data services provider to global corporations, confirmed today that a world-leader in industrial automation control and information solutions had awarded them a contract for assessment of presence of conflict minerals in parts procured from external vendors.The Client has sought compliance services from Enventure in order to confirm if any of their suppliers use conflict minerals in products supplied to them. Conflict minerals are minerals mined predominantly in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and adjoining countries (the DRC Zone) where armed conflict is prevalent.
Enventure officially launched the Conflict Minerals assessment service in January 2011 in response to changes which took place under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, stating that any US SEC regulated company, for which conflict minerals are necessary for the functionality or production of a product manufactured, need to fully disclose whether or not its conflict minerals originated in the DRC Zone.
