AAA Backs Launch of Comparison Site for Alternative Investments

As the alternative investment market becomes increasingly busy – with a range of new products and investment options available – AAA (Alternative Asset Analysis) has stated its support for the launch of a new comparison site focused on alternatives.

Boston, Mass, May 30, 2011 -- As the alternative investment market becomes increasingly busy – with a range of new products and investment options available – AAA (Alternative Asset Analysis) has stated its support for the launch of a new comparison site focused on alternatives.

Clara Compare is aimed squarely at the Independent Financial Adviser market and hopes to provide the information IFAs need to help recommend the right products to their clients.

“Alternative asset classes are no longer just attractive to individual investors – there has recently been a rise in the number of funds investing in alternatives, including private equity and real estate,” explained Anthony Johnson, analyst partner at AAA, the alternative investment advocacy and analysis firm.

The site already compares investment opportunities for assets such as foreign real estate and hedge funds. All the investment opportunities featured on the site are approved by the UK Financial Services Association and have asset management teams on hand to help.

The site is likely to help IFAs remain independent by being able to offer clients details of a large list of assets they could possibly invest in. Alternative assets are extremely popular in the face of economic uncertainty. Because assets like forestry, real estate and currencies tend not to be as affected as equities when economic problems arise, they offer a popular way to diversity a portfolio of investments and spread the risk.

Anthony Johnson continued, "Some alternative assets like forestry investment in emerging markets – through sustainable plantations like those run by Greenwood Management in Brazil – have seen ROI exceed those from equities by some way."
