Coralville Iowa – Blackvertiser.com, the Black-owned site offering top Black bloggers the opportunity to make money by running cost per term Text Ads they choose and writing reviews of Black-friendly products and services on their blogs, hopes to give blogging the wider appeal it deserves in the Black community with its first $200 Black Couple Blogging Scholarship.

Blogging is not widespread in the Black community as it is in other communities, which means that Blacks are not as adequately represented in the blogosphere as they should especially since bloggers now play a visibly vigorous role in shaping the dynamic American socio-political discourse and in driving the Internet economy.

The $200 Black Couple Blogging Scholarship to be presented on June 1 2007 at the formal launch of Blackvertiser.com which has been in its beta stage since March 1 2007, will go to a Black couple seen by Blackvertier.com owners, Paschal Eze Media, as having remarkably used their blog(s) from March 31 to May 31 2007 to meaningfully express their views on socio-political or economic issues affecting the Black community.

The winning Black couple bloggers to be selected from a host of new Black bloggers will also demonstrate that their new blog(s) is making appreciable impact measurable through comments posted on them by readers, email reactions or citations in other blogs or the traditional media.

“We want to get more Blacks into the blogosphere,” said Blackvertiser founder, Paschal Eze, adding that “Blacks need not lag behind in blogging because it is a veritable medium for us to plead our cause online.”

On why the scholarship is open to only Black couples, Eze said “I believe one thing that cements marital relationships is common passion for something like blogging or charity or travel, and though I am passionate about the three, I am particularly interested in blogging because, as we all say, information is power, and blogging is about expressing and sharing information in the people-powered web 2.0 era.”

Paschal Eze Media hopes the $200 Black Couple Blogging Scholarship will serve as an appetizer for the selected Black couple bloggers as they tap into the revenue opportunities in running Text Ads and writing product reviews on their blogs, under the auspices of Blackvertiser.com.

“Every blog could be monetized by observing the principle I simply describe as relevant content begetting target traffic and target traffic attracting advertisers who place Text Ads or pay for product reviews,” explains Eze, a widely traveled former daily newspaper editor-in-chief turned organic web traffic and SMS marketing coach.

Simple application form for $200 Black Couple Blogging Scholarship can be obtained by emailing Shanita Michelle at blackvertise (no spam) blackvertiser.com, with Application Request for Black Couple Blogging Scholarship as subject line.

Media inquiries should be sent to Shanita Michelle at paashanbooks (no spam) mail.com or fax 1-319-351-9695.

Paschal Eze Media is a Black owned Internet business that helps Black businesses get better known, better appreciated and better patronized.
