Held earlier this month at the Vancouver Convention Center, West 1055 Canada Place, Vancouver, the event brought together experts from across the risk management and surety sectors. Comprising presentations from keynote speakers, workshops and myriad networking opportunities, the conference and exhibition provided a one-stop shop for those within the risk management and surety arenas and those wanting to learn more about them.
In addition to exhibiting at the event, Rosenberg & Parker principal Chad Rosenberg, gave a presentation entitled 'Surety is not Insurance: Know the Difference,' on Wednesday, May 4 at 3.15pm.
The presentation revealed why surety is more like banking and allowed attendees to discover how to examine surety needs separately from insurance programs. Rosenberg explained the methods in which surety can be utilized to lessen a firm's dependence on letters of credit and other topics included insurance deductible plans, workers compensation state guarantees, subdivision bonds and site improvement bonds.
