“We are delighted to offer a scholarship to students who recognize the importance of community, particularly during the reflective period of Ramadan,” says Don Mather, VP of Finance
The MyUS.com Community Scholarship asks eligible students to detail how personal introspection and community connections (like those made during Ramadan) have affected their choices in life, including what to study, which university/college to attend and which career they will pursue after graduation.
“We hope this scholarship will help students honor the investments their community has made in them by lessening the financial burdens of university study and allowing them to focus on their goals,” says Ashley Smith, Director of Marketing.
This year’s scholarship is valued at $2,000 (USD) and will be rewarded to the student who most effectively communicates his or her story in a thoughtful way. The application deadline is Aug. 1, 2019.
