EPR-PF handles from Elesa save Aquaflame time and money – and ease production issues

Aquaflame Systems provide solutions for micro soldering and acrylic flame polishing through a range of products. The Aquaflame range are high performance gas-generating units, producing a high temperature flame – in the range 1200-3300°C.

Employed extensively in the jewellery, dental and other technical manufacturing industries, the Aquaflame range provides solutions for individual traders and small retailers through to larger manufacturers.

As a side issue to current Brexit concerns, and as an integral part of recent production re-structuring, the team at Aquaflame found they had supply problems with simple carry handles needed for their equipment, which can weigh up to 30kg. At the same time, they identified case alignment problems associated with handle fitment in conflict with the internal assembly – identified as taking an extra 15 minutes per unit.

Explained MD Barry Peck “We found assembly and supply problems traced back to a simple handle and could not resolve these to our satisfaction so we looked around for a UK based company with a standard ex-stock product at a competitive price. Fortunately, we found Elesa whose sales engineer called round quickly and offered a simple low-cost solution to our handle problems, which saved us money on each machine.”

The Elesa EPR-PF is a robust clip-in handle in glass reinforced polyamide which Aquaflame can leave to the final stage of assembly prior to packaging. They are manufactured by Elesa at their own production facility as part of a continuing commitment to a high quality/design ethos which controls production in house so far as possible, eliminating problems often encountered with non-manufacturing suppliers. Thus ensuring reliable worldwide stock in more than 60 countries worldwide, through 12 subsidiaries and qualified distributors in the major industrialised countries.

Further information on the EPR-PF clip-in handle from Elesa is available at www.elesa.com/en/elesab2bstoreuk/Handles--Flush-pull-handles--EPR-PF or follow them on twitter: www.twitter.com/ElesaUK.

Elesa is a supplier of a wide range of standard metal and plastic machine parts to the mechanical engineering industry.

More than 40,000 product codes, 180 patents and 38 international design awards produced with systems certified to ISO 9001, ISO14001 and ISO18001 all supported by a worldwide branch and distribution network offering localised stock and technical support.

Elesa are delighted that their “Elesa goes Green” program has recently advanced with the signing of a “renewable energy” contract with major supplier A2A. The “Elesa goes Green” program means that in their Monza production plant Elesa are now contracted to use only electricity from 100% renewable sources. That is to say only energy produced through the use of natural resources (water, sunlight, wind, tides, geothermal heat etc.) which therefore

Elesa angled handles inclined to make things easier for many industries
The new Elesa range of angled bridge handles provide a safe and ergonomic grip close to the edge of a door, ensuring safe and easy operation. Traditionally, bridge handles are used on sliding doors, access panels, drawers, and cases. The angled feature distances and translates forces at a more aligned angle, so reducing the perceived effort involved in closing sliding doors or lifting equipment. Elesa ESP, MSP and GN 430 angled
