Compact and wireless hygenic keyboard includes disinfecttimer

Fineman GmbH, a german distributor for medical products, introduces with the new MediKey product range medical keyboards products developed according newest hygenic demands and equipped with innovative features.
The compact keyboard with dimensions of only 280 x 211 x 29 mm has a weight of only 0,75kg.
To follow newest requirements in hospitals regarding easy to clean products the MediKey surface is very flat and resistant against desinfecation liquids used in medical institutes. The MediKey has a very good tactical feedback for the user and is including a touchpad and a number of fastkeys which are pre-configured to control common system tasks. Another feature ist the backlight function of the keys which can be ordered as an option.
The MediKey products are avaiable in two different models, wired with a direct USB connection or wireless. The wireless model is including a docking station which is integrated and can be connected to the PC by a standard USB connector. Without use of backlight the battery needs to be charged after more than 30 hours of use.
To ensure a suitable cleaning schedule for the keyboard there are built in timers as well as a manual over-ride which alert the user every 6, 12 or 24 hour by an blinking LED to the need to observe disinfecting routines. During the cleaning process the keyboard can be switched of very easy by one key. After all keys and also the touchpad are cleaned the LED stops blinking and the keyboard can be switched on again.
Especially for the use in Intensiv Care Units and Operation Roomy the MediKey hygenic keyboard family is the perfect solution.
