More flexibility for the Transcriber: Grundig Business Systems introduces new earphone concept

All headphones are now sold with a quick separation coupling

Naperville, IL – May 11, 2011 – Grundig Business Systems (GBS), one of the world’s leading providers of professional dictation systems presents the new headphone concept: All headphones and earphones are now sold with a quick separation coupling. This enables the longer part of the cable to remain connected to the PC or to the transcription station when the workstation is left – for example the Digta Soundbox 830. The earphone with the short part of the cable can easily be removed therefore enabling the typist to be more mobile. After use, the cable can appropriately be stored in a bag or drawer. The new headphones with a quick separation coupling, is therefore especially suitable for workstations shared by several typists.

All headphones can either be combined with a GBS connector, USB connector or a 3.5 mm jack plug. The GBS connector is suitable for GSB products like the Digta Soundbox 830 USB, the Stenorette transcription stations or the Digta Station 447 Plus. The other 2 connectors are directly connected to the PC. As the USB adapter is provided with an integrated sound card, the sound quality is independent from the PC's sound card. The new headphone system provides customers with a flexible choice because of being a safe and appropriate investment. Customers can easily go on using the GBS headphones in case of a system change, for example when switching from analog to digital technology.

New to the range: The Digta Earphone 957
New to the range is the Digta Earphone 957 – a padded single earpiece which is suitable for both transcription stations as well as digital hand-held devices. Thanks to the swivel ear clip it can be used for both ears. “Single earphones are mainly used by transcribers who only rarely transcribe dictations, as they need one ear free for interviews or telephone calls”, explains GBS Managing Director as being the advantage of the new product.
