Press release from: Edcomm Banker’s Academy

Edcomm Banker’s Academy’s President and Founder, Dr. Linda Eagle, was recently featured in the eFinancial Careers Career Centre as an expert on the subject of women working in the Middle Eastern financial industry.

New York, NY, May 11, 2011 -- Edcomm Banker’s Academy’s President and Founder, Dr. Linda Eagle, was recently featured in the eFinancial Careers Career Centre as an expert on the subject of women working in the Middle Eastern financial industry. In the article, entitled, “Why Women Have a Bigger Role to Play in Shaping the Middle Eastern Financial Services Industry” Dr. Eagle shared the knowledge and skills needed by women seeking to enter the Middle Eastern financial industry.

In the article, Dr. Eagle explains that although recruitment in the Middle East Islamic finance sector has traditionally been more favorable towards men, the region is now embracing women in the workforce. This can be attributed to the growing educational opportunities for women, the availability of female-only banks needing female staff members and the rise of Islamic finance throughout the Middle Eastern region and beyond.

According to Dr. Eagle, it is important that women seeking entry into the Middle Eastern financial industry are prepared by having the necessary knowledge and skills needed to succeed. “Training will help women to become familiar with the products and services available at their organizations and how to sell them. Ongoing training is integral to ensure that women have the necessary tools to further climb the corporate ladder in the Middle Eastern banking industry,” said Dr. Eagle.
