RACHEL MILLMAN TO WOW BASEBALL FANS WITH NATIONAL ANTHEM
AT THE METS CITI FIELD ON MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

New York, New York (Wednesday, May 4, 2011) The National Anthem is not an easy song to perform by any means. Jumping from a middle D to a high G at random points throughout the song, it requires range and skill to pull it off effectively. On Friday, May 27, Memorial Day Weekend, singer Rachel Millman will be up at bat, giving spectators her rendition of The Star Spangled Banner at Citi Field for the New York Mets versus the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday, May 27 at 7:10 PM.

“I’m a bit nervous but, at the same time, excited to have such an incredible opportunity,” states Rachel.

Rachel will also be singing at the famous New York nightclub, Feinstein’s at Loews Regency on Sunday, July 31 at 8:30 PM. Self-described as “a unique reflection of what is best about New York City,” the club has been an established venue where people go to dress up in their best in order to have a memorable evening. Rachel plans on using her three-octave voice to give audience members an evening they won’t soon forget, filled with both original music and some special “cover” treats.

Rachel has a long list of accomplishments that is getting longer by the day, including her recent appearance on NBC New York (see performance) on Sunday, March 13 and frequent appearances at The Bitter End, a nightclub that, since 1961, has hosted artists ranging from Patti LaBelle to Billy Joel to even Lady Gaga. Rachel also recently participated in Record Store Day, an international celebration where indie artists give away a song or two in celebration of music and the arts. The event brings thousands of musicians world-wide together for one day to share their passion for music and Rachel’s CD was a favorite among Record Store Day participants. Rachel is currently in pre-production for a new CD, her second since her EP IF I BELIEVE.

“It’s really amazing to see how my music has reached so many people and still continues to do so. Sharing it all with my fans and supporters is the best part of my career. I could not do this without them.” For more information about Rachel and for upcoming show information, please feel free to visit http://www.rachelmillman.com or www.keymediapublicrelations.com

With foreground and background largely erased, each artist leaves it to the viewer to choose the topsy-turvy direction. Here's one storyline. Here's another. Here's an endless number of storylines vibrating on the surface. Kaye's granular drawings are seasonal, even hourly, depictions of light and intimacy. They blanch in the yellow California summer.
