Extio F2408 remote graphics unit allows operators to monitor Axis IP camera feeds on displays located up to 1 km away from the PC

Montreal, Canada, May 2, 2011 — The Matrox Extio F2408 KVM extender will highlight the use of monitoring multiple Axis IP cameras on a security surveillance system for command and control environments at IFSEC 2011, in Axis Communications AB booth - Hall 4, Stand E90, from May 16-19, 2011. The quad-monitor Extio units enable operators to easily run the video management software and view numerous camera feeds across an expansive quad-display workspace at resolutions up to 2560x1600 per monitor, while securing the host computer in a separate location, up to 1 km (3280 feet) away via fiber-optic cable. For large-scale remote surveillance scenarios, combine Extio F2408 with the optional Matrox Extio F2408E Expander to connect 4 more displays or drive up to 16 displays with a second set of Extio F2408 and Extio F2408E Expander solutions—all from a single PC.

In addition to the Extio product line, the Matrox security portfolio offers a broad range of advanced multi-display hardware:

-Matrox M-Series graphics cards support up to eight high-resolution monitors from a single card or up to 16 displays when combining multiple M-Series boards into a single surveillance system.
