Ageing Rocks: GOLDIE in conversation with Ashton Applewhite

Ageing rocks… GOLDIE in conversation with Ashton Applewhite
Thursday 23rd May | Devonshire Club, London | Tickets £25

Prepare to have your world rocked this May as GOLDIE media gets up close and personal with groundbreaking pro-age activist and author of This Chair Rocks, Ashton Applewhite.

On May 23rd, Ashton will take time out of her whirlwind UK book tour to join our founder Rebecca Weef Smith for the first GOLDIE in conversation with.... An evening of no-holds barred discussion about ageing and style in all its multicoloured glory. It’s a unique opportunity to hear this trailblazer reflect on subjects she won’t cover anywhere else.

Ashton leads a new wave changing the prevalent “it's-all-downhill-from-here” narrative. In the past month this has led to trend-spotter Marian Salzman predicting that 2019 will be the year we all embrace age while British Vogue collaborated with L'Oreal on "The Non-Issue," a direct challenge to the rampant age discrimination in the fashion and beauty industries.

Ashton Applewhite says:

“By 2050, one out of five of us, almost two billion people, will be age 60 and up. Longevity is here to stay. A movement to end ageism is underway. I'm in it and I hope you will join me.”

GOLDIE media is proud to be at the forefront of the aspirational ageing revolution right here in the UK. On pushing boundaries, Rebecca Weef Smith says:

“Our followers in their 50s, 60s and 70s are in the prime of their lives. They’re starting new businesses, getting fit, educated and experimenting with style. Yet all you hear are the doom and gloom stereotypes. To make matters worse we’re even being told what we can and can’t wear. GOLDIE is with Ashton on this. Let’s rip up the ‘age-appropriate’ rule book. We can’t wait to spend an evening with her.”

The fightback starts here. Tickets are £25 in advance via the GOLDIE website Price includes welcome drink and goodie bag. For photos, interviews and further information please contact Rhoda on or +44 (0)7779 017502.

GOLDIE magazine® launched in 2018. It is 132 glossy pages of beautifully curated aspirational fashion and lifestyle content for those flourishing in their 40s and beyond. GOLDIE challenges the usual conversation around ageing. Instead providing a space for the increasing numbers of men AND women in mid-life and beyond who believe the best years of their lives are still to come. Website:
