‘Going green:’ National Gift Card plans NGCecodes discount for Earth Day orders
April 18, 2011 – CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. – In observance of Earth Day, Friday, April 22, and to encourage its new and existing customers to “go green,” National Gift Card Corporation (NGC) announced today it will offer on that day a special bonus discount on all NGCecodes orders.In addition, a portion of the proceeds from the Earth Day sale will be donated to Environmental Defenders of McHenry County, a local citizen organization dedicated to the preservation and improvement of the environment.
The NGCecodes program allows gift card customers the ability to order and deliver digital gift cards electronically to recipients, bypassing the need for plastic gift cards, printed paper envelopes and card carriers, packaging materials, and the additional environmental impact of air and ground shipment and delivery. With as many as 10 billion new plastic gift cards manufactured every year, electronic delivery is becoming a growing cost-saving and environmentally-friendly trend.

Van Witzenburg noted the NGCecodes program offers a large variety of major retail and dining gift cards available for electronic delivery. Customers may choose to purchase bulk quantities for their own delivery, or have NGC handle delivery via its individual fulfillment program.
