First LocLunch in Kraków launched!

Kraków welcomes first polish LocLunch

Patronage over the first polish LocLunch was taken by VEROLING representative. After Kraków, next polish city with LocLunch event will be Warsaw. In the end LocLunch aims to start off in other polish cities.

LocLunch idea

The idea assumes monthly (soon probably weekly), inclusive meeting with experts and people interested in customization of products and services for the need of foreign markets. All what is needed by the participants is being open-minded, have the willingness to integrate and share the knowledge. The event passes in chilled, friendly atmosphere filled with an interesting discussion.

On the first meeting the role of internationalization was reminded, which means a proper preparation of the source code. Without it software and websites are hard to graduate and get ready for foreign markets. The examples of successful product localization were covered, because it is a must have when it comes to the globalization of brands and good selling outcomes. Everything thanks to consideration of target audience specifications.

Localization issues of car industry, video games market and online applications were discussed. Among others Yahoo company was mentioned. In their China stock results for a good scores they use not our green color, but red. There was also McDonalds case mentioned which in lesser (WieśMac®) or greater extent (wegetarian and lumb burgers available in India) consider local specifics in order to successfully develop business in different regions.

Translation and localization market around the world

In 2018 the localization market reached almost 50 billion dollars.
