Baptist Regional Medical Center Selects VeriForm for Medication Inspections

Software Helps Eliminate All Paperwork for Inspections

Bellevue, Wash. – Wolters Kluwer Health announced today that Baptist Regional Medical Center in Kentucky has implemented VeriForm for their medication area inspections.

VeriForm is a checklist management system that helps hospitals document and report on compliance and patient safety issues throughout a facility. It provides the ability to create multiple forms and document these inspections in one flexible, easy-to-use application.

"We perform many medication area inspections each month and were previously using binders to store the information," said Cliff Niemeier, Pharmacy Coordinator for Baptist Regional Medical Center. "With VeriForm, we were able to eliminate all of the paperwork involved and make the process much easier and simpler."

VeriForm also provides a robust reporting tool to complete the process. Managers can run real-time reports to easily see which forms have been completed and monitor trends in compliance by hospital area or criteria. VeriForm has fully-integrated email capabilities so completed forms can be emailed to nurse managers and others for approval, if needed.

"It was very time-consuming each month to verify that all the inspections had been completed or to view a previous month’s inspection. With VeriForm, it is very easy to see which inspections have been completed for that month or to view any previous inspections," said Niemeier. "VeriForm has saved our pharmacy valuable time and made our inspections process much easier."
