Employee Survey Reveals Boston SaaS Startup Goes Beyond Norm to Foster Enjoyable, Meaningful, Growth Filled Work Environment Loved by Lola.com Team

BOSTON – April 16, 2019 – Lola.com, the Agile Travel Management™ company that provides a super simple way to manage, book, and report on business travel, has been named one of the Boston Business Journal’s 2019 Best Places to Work, recognizing companies that go beyond the norm to foster an enjoyable and meaningful work environment for employees. The distinction is earned by being one of the top-scoring companies on the employee attitude surveys completed over the last several weeks. The Lola.com team is talking about what it’s like to work at the growing company in a recently released video at: https://www.lola.com/news/what-making-bbjs-best-places-to-work-list-means-to-us

“Being recognized by Boston Business Journal as a Best Places to Work is a great milestone and a huge point of pride, but it’s just the beginning,” said Mike Volpe, CEO of Lola.com. “Creating a workplace that brings out the best in our employees and supporting them with a culture that makes them strive to do their best is really the only way to build the best products possible while delivering the most value to our customers. We are excited to continuing building the best team in the world that will disrupt the $1.6 trillion global travel market with the simplest business travel app in the world.”

Companies are judged based on the results of an employee survey administered by Quantum Workplace, where various categories are evaluated, including Communication and Resources, Individual Needs, Manager Effectiveness, Personal Engagement, Team Dynamics, and Trust in Leadership.

The BBJ is recognizing this year’s 79 honorees as well as counting down each category’s top-ranked places to work during its 17th annual Best Places to Work cocktail and awards celebration on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. EDT at the Head of Concourse at the World Trade Center in Boston. Lola.com will also be featured in a special edition of the Boston Business Journal on June 21, 2019. For more on the awards, follow #BBJBPTW on Twitter.

Lola.com is growing, doubling headcount in 2019, made possible with a $37 million Series C funding round announced last month. The company is hiring across engineering, product management, sales, and marketing. For open positions, visit: https://www.lola.com/careers
