Two new AOC monitors designed by Studio F. A. Porsche

Amsterdam, 11 April 2019 – “Design by Studio F. A. Porsche” is synonymous with sophisticated, refined product design throughout the world. Display specialist AOC has the pleasure to announce two new displays designed by the world-renowned design agency Studio F. A. Porsche: the Red Dot Design Award-winning U32U1, a 31.5" (80 cm) premium business monitor with 4K resolution and VESA DisplayHDR600, and the Q27T1, a 27" (68,6 cm) QHD monitor geared towards design-conscious home users.

U32U1 – An audacious, award winning design for professional use
A first glance of the U32U1 reveals the outstanding, Red Dot Design Award winning design stemming from one of the most renowned design studios, Studio F. A. Porsche.

With people’s changing perception of work and private life, they increasingly question the strict differentiation of products targeted at professional and personal use. The design of the U32U1 reflects this. It aims at users with high aesthetical requirements and draws on trends in classical furniture design. The tubular-shaped tripod stand creates visual lightness and lets it stand out in any environment and usage context.

It also excels with other supreme design features: the 4-sided frameless, slim and tiltable display sits on its shiny metal tripod stand, which is height-adjustable to 120 mm. The aluminium back-plate with rounded corners, which also houses the cable connectors, creates a fine contrast to the dark grey flat back cover. A true functional novelty is that this plate remains in the same position when the display is rotated into portrait position (pivot function) so the cables stay in the same place as well. For increased flexibility, the display also comes with a VESA grid for mounting on external stands or wall mounts.

Excellent performance for professional demands
The extra-large 31.5" (80 cm) IPS display comes with a brilliant 4K/UHD resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels).Thanks to compliance with the VESA Display HDR600 and the HDR 10 standards, the screen delivers a 10-bit colour depth resulting in 1.07 billion colours. Images shine with impressive contrast and colours range from luminescent white to the deepest black. The display covers 90% of the DCI-P3 colour space, which makes it an ideal choice for video and photography professionals and enthusiasts as well as for designers.

Well connected with USB-C
Besides the usual HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.2 connectors, this monitor also features an HDMI 2.0 as well as a USB-C port and a USB 3.1 hub. The USB-C connection provides DisplayPort Alternate Mode for transferring even high-resolution video signals from a notebook or other computer. USB Power delivery can simultaneously charge the notebook battery with up to 65 W, and the USB 3.1 data transmission ensures lightning-fast data transfer.

27T1 – Visionary asymmetry
The Q27T1’s asymmetrical stand continues the design heritage of its predecessors. It not only impresses with its distinctive design but also surprises with the way it logically follows the distribution of force within the monitor to perfectly balance the monitor’s weight. This design accentuates the sophisticated structural engineering to hold the monitor in place, similar to a modern sculpture. The three-sided frameless display with edge design hides the plastic frame on the left and right sides to make it genuinely frameless. The lower bezel is adorned by a glossy shine, while the matte curved back underlines the pure and clean design of the monitor. The clean look of the stand is accompanied on the back, where the I/O ports are hidden by a cover, with just a small opening for outgoing cables, adding to the overall sleek look of the Q27T1.

Equally convincing inner values
The AOC Q27T1’s 27", anti-glare coated IPS panel ensures an excellent viewing experience thanks to its Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The IPS technology also delivers wide viewing angles and excellent colour reproduction. The Q27T1, the first model in AOC’s new T1 line of displays, offers a wide colour gamut, covering 90% of the NTSC colour space. Its two HDMI and one DisplayPort sockets mean that the monitor can be connected to a wide variety of devices including desktop computers, laptops, Blu-ray players and game consoles.

AOC’s Q27T1 will be available in July 2019 at an MSRP of £ 269 and U32U1 will be available later in 2019.
