Press release from: Jennifer Campbell

Jennifer Joy Campbell, 29-year-old daughter of Kenneth and Pamela Campbell of McAlpin, was crowned Ms. Suwannee County Fair on Saturday afternoon during the Miss Suwannee County Fair Pageant held at the Suwannee County Fairgrounds.

Jennifer is a native of Suwannee County. She was very active in Suwannee County 4-H for 10 years. She graduated with honors from Lake City Community College. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Florida in 2006. In 2008, she finished graduate school with a 4.0 GPA, earning a Master of Science in English Education degree from Nova Southeastern University.

Presently, Jennifer serves as a 7th grade Language Arts teacher at Suwannee Middle School. She also serves as Language Arts Department Chair, Yearbook Adviser and Student Council Co-Sponsor. She is a member of the Leadership Team, PDC Representative, and PDC Secretary. On the state level, she serves as Recording Secretary for the Florida Council of Teachers of English Executive Board.

Jennifer loves to give back to the community by volunteering for organizations such as Relay for Life, where she serves as Luminaria Chair and a member of her school’s team. She enjoys gathering and delivering donations of clothing, food, and school supplies to an orphanage in Honduras. In addition, she serves as a Group Leader for Women of Faith, having attended the All Access Group Leader Training in Nashville this past February.

Jennifer was sponsored by Sid and Wanda Baker of Capital Resources Financial Group. The pageant was coordinated by Jennie Sullivan of Suwannee Pageants. Jennifer would like to extend her appreciation to these individuals, especially to her Dad, who she says loves her unconditionally and continually supports her in everything she does.

“People often ask me why I smile all of the time,” Jennifer said. “My answer is simple. Life is not always easy, but God gives me joy. A little over two years ago, my Mom passed away. It has been very difficult for my Dad and me, but God has brought us to where we are today. He loves us more than we can imagine, and He has a dream for our lives. I want to share God’s love and joy with others through my words, my actions, and my smile.”
