Boca Raton, Fla. – March 25, 2011 – The prestigious South Florida Business Journal awards will be presented on April 28, 2011, at the Journal’s eighth annual awards ceremony, to be held at the Design Center of the Americas. SECNAP Network Security has been named among the Business of the Year award finalists, who range from AutoNation to the New World Symphony to Shoes For Crews.

Criteria for the 2011 Business of the Year award include strong financial performance, workplace environment, outstanding customer service, quality of products and services, innovative and effective marketing, and a spirit of community involvement.

SECNAP Network Security has been a member of the Boca Raton technology community for ten years, and the firm’s employees have deep roots in South Florida. The company has strong ties to local educational institutions, including Lynn University, Barry University, and Florida Atlantic University, whose intern recruiting program SECNAP has leveraged. The company has funded technical training for several of its certified security engineers through the South Florida Workforce Alliance.

When asked what makes SECNAP Network Security an exceptional business, employees across a variety of disciplines were quick to volunteer their insights.

“At SECNAP, each of us has the power to make a difference, and very few companies can offer that benefit.” – Wazir Shpoon, software developer

“SECNAP clients are uncommonly loyal, and we think our accessibility and flexibility have a lot to do with that.” – Jonathan Scheidell, operations manager

“Individually and collectively, we’re all proud of what we were able to accomplish, with limited resources, in what was a very challenging year.” – Kevin Barnabe, sales director

The SECNAP Network Security team joins the South Florida Business Journal in congratulating all of the distinguished Business of the Year award finalists, and in extending sincere appreciation to AvMed, Gunster, and Templeton for sponsoring awards that recognize outstanding South Florida businesses.
