88MoCCA is pleased to announce the virtual opening of “101 artworks – A Stroll through the Sigg Collection”. The exhibit features 101 works from the Uli Sigg Collection from the 1970s until to today. These bold and daring works have been seminal in shaping the art scene in China.

The Uli Sigg Collection is a one-of-a kind archive that documents the complex and dramatic evolution of Chinese art as it emerges from state-sponsored and state-defined aesthetics through many twists and turns of creative exploration that has resulted in China’s vibrant and unpredictable art scene today.

As a collector, Uli Sigg has made an invaluable contribution to both Chinese artists and the international scene, says Fritz Kaiser, the founder of 88MoCCA. “Uli Sigg is a rare collector, intrepid in every sense. He has been to every remote corner of the country and in the process, he has meticulously put together the most authoritative and extensive collection of Chinese art in the world," says Kaiser.
