Polimaster Dosimeters in the Hands of Japanese Rescuers
Polimaster Ltd., a leading provider of radiation detection technology, since receiving news of the accident at the nuclear power plant in Fukushima assists rescue and emergency services workers of Japan. Last week Polimaster urgently delivered consignment of personal dosimeters to ensure the safety of rescuers, working on liquidation of the accident.Minsk, Belarus, March 31, 2011 -- Polimaster Ltd., a leading provider of radiation detection technology, since receiving news of the accident at the nuclear power plant in Fukushima assists rescue and emergency services workers of Japan. Last week Polimaster urgently delivered consignment of personal dosimeters to ensure the safety of rescuers, working on liquidation of the accident. In the nearest future Polimaster is planning massive deliveries of various classes of devices that can be used for a wide range of tasks that may arise when dealing with the consequences of the accident at the nuclear power plant in Fukushima.
Due to dramatic increase in the number of requests for supply of products to Japan and neighbor countries Polimaster makes every effort to increase the volumes of production.
Polimaster regularly delivers various categories of radiation detection equipment to Japan. Polimaster devices are well known to Japanese consumers, they are used to provide safety and radiation monitoring of nuclear industry, including nuclear power plants.
At the present time in accordance with the intergovernmental agreement between Belarus and Japan The State Border Committee of Belarus implements the project "Modernization of the System to Deter the Illicit Trafficking of Nuclear and Radioactive Materials at State Borders of the Republic of Belarus". Within its framework Polimaster delivers radiation monitoring equipment to staff the mobile laboratories of quick response and specialized coastguard boats and also deploys mobile geoinformational system of radiation control NPNET TM. The given products will be used by the State Border Committee of Belarus at the state border between Belarus and Ukraine and in the border zone of the Belarusian territory contaminated with radioisotopes after the disaster at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Experience in the use of such tools in the future can be used by Japan and other countries to ensure radiation safety of their territories.
This project clearly demonstrates that Japan and Belarus understand all the problems related to the liquidation of consequences of various radiation incidents and disasters at radiation-hazardous and nuclear facilities including nuclear power plants in both our countries and all over the world.
