UVNTV.com launches the world's first multi-channel, real-time streaming internet television network

Los Angeles- March 8, 2007 - UVNTV (UVNTV.com) hosts the world’s first real-time online television network that also acts as an online community. UVNTV’’s capability allows viewers to watch their favorite shows in high definition, surround sound, and full screen quality. In addition to functioning as a network, the UVNTV community allows users to send messages to one another via text or video chat and to upload user generated audio and video files for opportunities in film, television, and video games.

UVNTV is an IP Television provider delivering multiple channels and streaming 24 hours 7 days a week in quality comparable to both satellite and cable providers, however its delivery is universal and accessible anywhere a high-speed Internet connection is available. This network broadcasts in real time, providing its viewers the same shows, at the same time throughout the world. The site is also a channel operator and production entity with original programs in development for distribution via UVNTV channels.

This project was created in 2003 when a team of entrepreneurs noticed that people were spending more time on their computers than watching television. “There are more people per day in front of a computer than there are in front of a television on any given day, ” remarks a spokesperson for UVNTV.com. In accord with current technological trends, UNVTV.com has fused the television network system with the Internet culture to create a democratic and interactive online network.

The site is useful to consumers in that it offers everything they need to stay connected with friends, family, and industry peers, while providing a level of entertainment unmatched anywhere else on the net to include, but not limited to full-screen television, state of the art video and audio chatting, and customizable profile and group pages.

Registered users create online galleries and electronic press kits, which can be used by scouts to find actors and models. UVNTV’’s music community was designed for independent artists to sell both music, as well as music production with no DRM restrictions allowing usage on any MP3 player- a first for the web.

UVN filmmakers, similar to YouTube, caters to aspiring filmmakers and producers by allowing users to upload, view, and rate short films or series episodes for broadcast. One network channel will broadcast only the clips that received the highest ratings online.
