Success leads to waste management company expansion
A fast-growing Sussex environmental services company has taken on two new members of staff.Trevor Beer has joined CountyClean Environmental Services Ltd as Contracts Manager and Margaret Duncan has been appointed Business Development Executive. They are both based at the company’s headquarters near Eastbourne.
Trevor, who lives in Newhaven, has a huge amount of industry experience having worked in the rail, waste water utilities and petrochemical sectors. He has an IOSH in safety management and a CCTV inspection background. His new role involves looking after several of the company’s large contracts and also developing the CCTV inspection department.
Margaret, who is from Herstmonceux, has come from an industrial cleaning background and is a key member of the sales team. She is responsible for developing industrial and commercial client relationships.
CountyClean Managing Director Mike Walker said: “Despite the difficult climate and being hit very hard by fuel prices, we are working hard to grow our business and have recently won several large contracts. We are delighted to be recruiting new staff and contributing to the local economy.”
The CountyClean team is now 20 strong and there are plans to recruit more staff, including a drainage engineer.

The company, which has invested in the latest equipment and response vehicles, employs a team of highly trained staff who are committed to safeguarding the environment.
CountyClean Environmental Services also assists with disasters such as oil, diesel or chemical spills and emergency flood response. Non-emergency services include interceptor and gully cleaning, fly-tipped waste removal, graffiti clean-up and sewage removal from ships to portable toilets at festivals.
