Middlesex, England (March 09 2011) – Madex Logistics, a freight distribution company offering local, UK and European delivery services, were given the ‘Member of the Year 2010’ award by international logistics network, Palletways.

The national award followed shortly after the local distribution firm, which collects and delivers small consignments of palletised freight to customers in the Enfield postcode area, achieved platinum member status with Palletways.

The Palletways Group, which was founded in 1994, has 270-plus depots across the UK and mainland Europe and handles circa 21,000 pallets a day through eight hub facilities across Europe. The group’s distribution networks in the UK and mainland Europe are supported by an unrivalled and fully integrated IT infrastructure, which allows customers to track and trace consignments using the internet.

Commenting on the award, Mark Gudgeon, Principal of Madex Logistics, said: “Winning this award was a true highlight for 2010 and a real vote of confidence in the hard work and commitment of all our staff at Madex Logistics.

“The fact that we were nominated and voted for by our peers in the Palletways network makes this award extra special.”

Madex Logistics is one of 100-plus UK Palletways members - all independent transport companies with local knowledge and expertise - which make up the UK distribution network for Palletways and provide a range of express delivery services including next day, economy and timed delivery options. All the members deliver small consignments of palletised goods to market, faster and more cost effectively than traditional haulage methods.

Craig Hibbert, Managing Director of Palletways UK, said: “I’d like to thank Madex Logistics for their commitment to the network and co-operation with the other members.

“It’s vital for our customers to know they can expect and will receive the highest possible levels of customer service, both through our UK and European networks. This gives us a leading edge in what has become an incredibly competitive market, and our customers appreciate that.”
