The countdown to the launch of a new series of remote eye trackers from Tobii Technology has begun. Replacing the Tobii 1750, the Tobii S60 and S120 Eye Trackers will be launched before the summer, offering major improvements in all key performance categories. The S60 and S120 series will be shown to the public for the first time at CeBIT in Hannover (Hall 9, Stand B10).

Eye tracking is a technology that empowers a computer to know exactly where a person is looking. This offers a multitude of opportunities, ranging from enhanced control interfaces to brand new ways of understanding human behaviour.

The Tobii 1750 Eye Tracker, with breakthrough characteristics such as ease-of-use, fully automatic tracking and non-intrusiveness, has allowed for time and cost efficient high quality eye tracking and made Tobii a world leader.

Now its successors are taking performance to even higher levels. The Tobii S60 allows for twice as much head movement and is twice as accurate as its predecessor. It brings fundamental advances to eye tracking, such as new sensors, new ways to generate NIR reflection patterns, automatic optimization of bright and dark pupil tracking, improved eye math models with advanced drift compensation, embedded eye tracker server and much more. The Tobii S120 Eye Tracker also boasts with twice as high tracking frequency for more fine-grained data.

Thanks to a radical approach to eye tracking, Tobii Technology has brought eye tracking out of the research laboratories and into new market domains. For example, Tobii´s products are used by hundreds of commercial usability and market research labs, as well as by disabled people as a primary way to communicate.

Tobii drives integration of eye tracking technology in a large number of other application areas, also offering off-the-shelf or customized integration eye tracking components and is actively pursuing projects together with industry partners.
