Apellix Founder and CEO speaking on the "State of Technology: Cleaning and Coating Drones" at the Coatings Tech Conference April 9th, 2019

Apellix, the safety partner for the technological revolution, is proud to announce that our founder and CEO Robert Dahlstrom will be presenting “State of Technology: Cleaning and Coating Drones” at the 2019 American Coatings Technology Conference.

Apellix, who has five US patents (three fully granted, and two pending), covering the various aspects of unmanned aerial vehicles performing elevated work, including ground-based control and power systems, tether and umbilical systems, and flight control software. Has created software-controlled aerial robot systems (drones) that allows them to fly, under full computer control, up to structures such as elevated water tanks, silos, chimneys, ships and bridges where their robotic arm makes contact with the surface thus allowing a sensor to test the integrity of the structure. Their next product to market is in the area of cleaning and coating/painting.

The Apellix precision-controlled aerial robotics systems utilize tethered and untethered drones to move workers from harm’s way. Other additional uses of the Apellix platform - in addition to contact-based non-destructive testing - include window washing on skyscrapers, windmill blade cleaning, spray painting, graffiti removal, and the spraying of toxic chemicals. The potential applications of the Apellix system are almost endless.
