Keith Urban has put his share when it comes to show his support for Japan who is facing the worst crisis since the Second World War. The "But for the Grace of God" singer has partnered with GAC (Great American Country) to record a series of public service announcement to encourage viewers to donate as much as they can to Red Cross to support relief activities in Japan. Keith resides in Nashville, Tennessee who faced a devastated flood 10 months back and Tennessee is the city where 160 Japanese companies have made a hefty investment of more than $13 billion.
Keith, a New Zealand born Australian singer is extremely popular in Australia and United States, prefers a private life and vows not to use his family members as a source of publicity. But for the first time his fans can see a glimpse of his personal life as his new video for the new single “Without You” includes home footage of his full life with his wife, Nicole Kidman and his first daughter, Sunday Rose including his wedding pics with Nicole and the couple’s frolicking moments on the beach with their daughter. The video also shows a bare-chested Keith emerging from a shower.
The “Without You” video, taped in Black and White is Keith’s 10th video with director Chris Hicky who wanted the video to match the world Keith is singing about and the lyrics of the new song perfectly fit within what has been shown on the video. The clips of his home footage appear on the walls behind him in a decorated room while Keith singing the love song.
The “Without You” video premiered on iTunes, CMT, and GAC on Tuesday, on March 22, 2011.
Keith will kick start his “Get Closer 2011 World Tour” on April 8, 2011 from Adelaide, SA and will tour Australian, American and Canadian cities including Melbourne, Tamworth, Sydney, Jacksonville, Tampa, Philadelphia, Boston, Detroit, Washington DC, his hometown Nashville TN, Los Angeles, Toronto, and London. For his American concerts country artist Jake Owen will join him while The Band Perry will open debut his Canadian tour.
The 43 years old singer-song writer has also been nominated for the 2011 ACM Awards in the Entertainer of the Year and Top Male Vocalist of the Year categories.
