9520 PULSE GENERATOR HAS NEW SPECIFICATIONS
BOZEMAN, Montana: Quantum Composers, a leading developer of laser timing and synchronization technology, has just released a new firmware upgrade to enhance the performance of its industry leading 9520 series Digital Delay Pulse Generator. This latest firmware release, version 2.2.4, doubles the PRF (Pulse Repetition Frequency) from 10MHz to 20MHz.

The model 9520 series Digital Delay Pulse Generator is unique being the only instrument of its type designed in a modular architecture providing a variety of output and input options. The output modules selection array includes both TTL/CMOS with adjustable amplitude, 35V or 45V high voltage electrical, current outputs, and optical at either 820nm or 1310nm. Other advanced features include special firmware options, USB and Ethernet programming, and a NI Certified LabVIEW driver is provided free of charge.

About Quantum Composers:
Quantum Composers was founded in 1993 in Bozeman, Montana, an already accelerating high tech center for electro-optic startups in the northern Rocky Mountain Region. Over the next 17 years Quantum has become an internationally recognized pioneer in the electro-optics market place with the design and development of a precision pulse generator line and as a provider of custom laser systems for micromachining applications.

Lineator Harmonic Filter with 6-pulse VFD Outperforms 18-pulse VFD in Reducing H …
The use of Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) is increasing in many industries resulting in an increased need to treat the current harmonics generated by these nonlinear loads. Two common methods of harmonic treatment include using a 6-pulse VFD with harmonic filter and an 18-pulse VFD. In comparing these methods, Mirus International, finds that using a 6-pulse VFD with its passive harmonic filter, Lineator™, is a better performing solution. Brampton, ON,
