PPCL to Speak at ARTC Conference Singapore

In less than a weeks time, PPCL will be presenting at a world renowned conference in Singapore. The ARTC meeting is brought to you by the Global Technology Forum who host a series of refining technology conferences and training courses in both Europe and Asia. This meeting, however, is the event which looks to examine the latest trends in Asia’s refining industry and practical strategies to improve operational efficiency and optimize returns within the current market conditions.

The conference will take place at the Singapore Grand Hyatt on the 30th and 31st March, 2011. It brings together some of the biggest names in the refining world such as: BP, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, ENI, MOL, Neste Oil, OMV, Shell, Statoil and Total to name just a few.

Dr. Robin Brooks of PPCl was lucky enough to be one of the select few to present at the conference. For the meeting he shall be presenting: ‘Rationalising Alarm Rationalisation’. This topic takes an in-depth look at a new method for alarm limits which allows the limits to be consistent with operating objectives without guesswork or mathematics. The result is fewer false alarms allowing tighter alarm limits which delivers a safer and more economic process. This is technology is in use in North America but this is its first showcasing in Asia.
