Yamaha Technician Grand Prix Finalist

In and Outboard Marine’s Service Centre strive to give our customers the best marine service in the Northern Territory. We are proud to say that In and Outboard Marine’s very own Service Manager, Michael Finlay, recently travelled to Brisbane to take part in the Yamaha Technician Grand Prix as a finalist. Out of the initial 100 competitors, it had been narrowed down to the top 8 technician’s for Australia and New Zealand.
Michael worked and studied hard for this and after a close competition involving four practical tests, a customer service scenario that was taken from a real life event, followed by a two hour theory exam which included using Yamaha’s service portal to order parts and find ‘service bulletins’, Michael was pipped at the post but is very pleased with the title of Runner Up 2011!
To maintain our impeccable service, we ensure that regular training is undertaken. As with all the staff in our Service Centre, Michael takes part in this training, keeping up to date and ‘hands on’ with the latest motors and technology as Yamaha keeps astride of the boating market.
With all of this we can continue to offer the best for all our customers. Michael, from everyone here at In and Outboard Marine, we would like to say a big congratulations for all your hard work!
