When asked about his long, distinguished career in the both the fabricare industry and in the community, MacGregor said: “Perhaps the responsibility I most enjoyed was my term as the first international member of the Board of Directors of the Drycleaners and Laundry Institute. It was an opportunity to bring together cleaners from all countries, especially cleaners in the United States and Canada, and show them the benefits of international cooperation.”
Shah said, “Traveling to Albuquerque to meet with the leaders in our industry was well worth the time. We here at Four Seasons Cleaners are committed to providing our brides with the best possible care for their gowns. That’s why we offer the Association’s trademarked MuseumCare gown preservations with a completely acid-free wedding chest. The three-day meeting opened with a tour of The Cleanery, the Association’s member in Albuquerque, where the group enjoyed a unique opportunity to observe one of the first Solvon K4 Systems to be installed anywhere in the world. The system features a non-halogenated, biodegradable alternative to the widely-used perchloroethylene solvent now considered a possible carcinogen.
