Vardan Ovsepian Returns to The Beehive for Special Encore Performance
WHAT: On Monday, April 4th, 2011, acclaimed Armenian pianist/composer, Vardan Ovsepian will take the stage at The Beehive for a special encore performance with the Vardan Ovsepian Quartet. Based in Los Angeles, CA and New York City, NY, Ovsepian will return to Boston, MA joined by guitarist Tim Miller, Grammy award-winning drummer, Mark Walker, and young bass phenomenon, Will Slater, to put on what may be the most happening performance in Boston.
Called "one of the few musicians of his generation that will help define the future course of jazz,” by pianist and composer, Frank Carlberg, Ovsepian’s music integrates modern jazz and classical European sounds into a cerebral and soothing performance.
