Houston Trial Lawyer Steven Mitby from AZA Named One of Texas’ Top Young Lawyers

HOUSTON – Houston attorney Steven Mitby from the complex commercial litigation law firm of Ahmad, Zavitsanos & Anaipakos has earned a spot on the 2011 Texas Rising Stars list, which honors the best and brightest Texas lawyers under age 40 and those in practice fewer than 10 years.

Mr. Mitby, who represents both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of complex litigation matters, was selected based on nominations made by attorneys from across the state who previously were honored in the annual Texas Super Lawyers list.

Mr. Mitby, a summa cum laude graduate of Harvard College and cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School, has a special interest in patent infringement and other technology-related litigation. He has worked as trial counsel in three patent trials and authored a winning federal circuit brief.

Formerly with Baker Botts, Mr. Mitby also represents clients in insurance coverage disputes, securities class actions, products liability cases, construction litigation, oil and gas litigation, trademark infringement cases, internal corporate investigations, and appeals.
